I went on the Unraveling tour on 16th May, early on in the tours history, with my brother and my son. (2 generations) and we all enjoyed the day equally. While we knew the songs beforehand, to hear them in their own setting and context, was a total education. Michael was such an informative tour guide and Andy, a most competent driver. We will definitely do the tour again. However, we might organise with a bigger crowd of us and it might be harder to get us home.😜

'We had a fantastic day on the Unravelling Shane tour. I've been a fan of Shane and The Pogues most of my life, so visiting many of the places that influenced Shane's songwriting, was fabulous. Michael's enthusiasm for the tour was unfailing throughout and even my husband (who likes some of the songs, but wouldn't call him self a fan) thoroughly enjoyed it. I've read all the books about Shane and The Pogues, but still learnt things I didn't know and made some new  connections between things I thought I knew.

While we were travelling on the coach, the music that was played fitted in with the tour route perfectly and when we stopped at Johnny Ryan's pub, one of our group sang a brilliant version of Kitty.

The goody bags given to everyone were a great touch and I'll treasure mine. All said, I really recommend going on the tour to any fan and even non-fans will enjoy it.'

We really enjoyed the trip if I wanted to make suggestions to improve it I honestly couldn’t it was a fabulous experience.

Four of our group didn’t have much interest is Shane’s life or his music they just came along it was something to do during our break but that all changed they thought it was one of the most wonderful experience they ever had and now have an total appreciation for a genius they never knew about.

Finally on behalf of the group I want to thank you and Michael for sharing the details of Shane’s real life and character an experience we will never forget. We were lucky to have lived during his time on earth and then to walk in his footsteps last Wednesday is definitely one of life’s highlights.

Thanks to you Andy and Michael for what you did to make that experience possible.
