Johnny Ryan's, Carney.

Situated in the tranquil village of Carney is Johnny Ryan’s Pub: Long-standing, traditional rural pub frequented by many of Shane’s relatives over the years. His Lynch grand-uncles would often stop in for bottles of Smithwick’s ale and come home groaning that Johnny would only ever put one stick of turf on the fire!

The pub today is a great meeting place for young and old, a place where locals will drop in after their day's work and a popular place for music sessions at the weekends. Some of these sessions are streamed live on the pub's Facebook page and a provide a wonderful insight on the health of Irish music in the region today, something of which Shane would be very proud.
